The Face Behind the Foundation:
Rosalinda “Linda” Giles
Formed in 2023, Live Like Linda was created in honor of Rosalinda "Linda" Giles. Linda was a remarkable woman who always thought of others first and who positively impacted the lives of others with her kind words and thoughtful actions. In 2018 Linda was diagnosed with breast cancer. After surgical and systemic treatment Linda was in remission the following year. Unfortunately, in May of 2021 the cancer returned, this time it was metastatic.
After Linda’s was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer, the army that surrounded her with hope and positivity took action. Team RG shirts were sold to show support and gather funds for metastatic breast cancer research. What we didn’t know at the time was that Team RG would be the backbone that became what is known today as Live Like Linda. This is the video created in 2021 with family and friends showing their support for Linda.
Linda fought valiantly, never giving up, and never losing her selfless and caring ways. In May of 2022, Linda, our beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, earned her wings.
Linda was incredibly touched by the support she and her family received as they navigated life with cancer. Our mission is to enable Linda’s love to live on as we support others on their cancer journey.
Live Like Linda provides loving and thoughtful gestures for individuals and families, reminding them that that they are surrounded by a loving community who will stand beside them during one of life’s most difficult times.
So far, donations to Live Like Linda have enabled the organization to:
-Pay copays for patients with cancer
-Provide meals and gift cards to local families on their cancer journey
-Brighten the days of children with a parent diagnosed with cancer
-Donate a basket in memory of Linda to a fundraiser, Dance for the Cure
